FCUM Radio is delighted to reveal its new line-up for weekends for this coming season.
For a typical Saturday/Sunday, we have tried to squeeze in everything that FCUM Radio stands for. From quality music shows, to rivaled football coverage, through to half-arsed comedy.
So let’s start with the big news. This weekend will see the return of FC Live, featuring live coverage of Ben eating a Barwell burger, and Swampy just tutting at him, so surely you don’t want to miss that one? Join them from 2.30pm on Sunday.
The Evostik NPL Show also returns to the station this weekend too, you can hear that on Saturday and Sunday at 12 noon. This weekend, the league’s official radio show features a preview for the coming season, so well worth a listen…. if anything just to be able to prove us wrong come May.
Away from football, and weekend mornings on FCUM Radio in the new season we are sure will be a joy to the ears. We kick things off with The Album Show with Rockin John Cron, followed by the beautiful morning sounds of The Rambling Mancunian down from Mitton’s End, and just before lunch, we have the fuzz filled garagey joy that is United A Go Go which we hope will kick you into life just before you get onto the supporter’s coach.
And in the evenings, we can offer you some love and some bounce, as FCUM Radio serves up some proper good music shows.
We have The Reggae Latin Funk and Bass Beats Show with Roy Slinger at 7pm, followed at 8pm by FCUM Radio’s brand new Northern Soul show, The Soul Shack with Larry Johnson. While at 9pm, we take things down a notch, and bring you the smoothest soul show around, Hidden Gems with Scott Taylor. And we finish things off at 10pm with Manchester’s finest Jazz radio show, Hot Biscuits, with Steve Bewick.
All sounds tip top so far, so what about that botched comedy stuff we do?
Well The Shindig Breakfast Show with Ben and Marv has remarkably been recommissioned for another season, you can hear that from 1pm. While The Show With No Name with Stevie D and Doh makes a shocking return to FCUM Radio this season, featuring every weekend from 5pm (sometimes it will be Live too).
And finally! We must warn you that the rumours are indeed true. Returning to your radio this season, thanks to us being able to prop the cellar door open in FCUM Radio Tower, and feed down a microphone, yes! Red Rebel Radio with Swampy and Pace will be producing sound in your ears from 6.30pm every Saturday and Sunday night this season.
So, that’s the weekend line-up, stand by for action.
